Department of Education and Child Services (DECS)

The department required an experienced contractor to design, develop and implement an integrated bus management system with a small budget. The system needed to track bus routes, passenger counts, maintenance and repairs. It also had to incorporate a complete accounting system for contract operators that allowed complex percentage arrears adjustments. The site was developed in ASP.NET 1.1 and MS SQL. MS reporting services were used to speed up the development of reports. The system also connected to three other systems including an Oracle Database for reporting and maintenance, masterpiece (Legacy system) for budget history and a single sign on Microsoft system.
